
Carlene Cordova is a multi-hyphenate filmmaker, fine artist, illustrator and designer. She is the director, producer and co-writer of the award-winning documentary feature, RINGERS: LORD OF THE FANS. Distributed worldwide by Sony Pictures Home Entertainment, RINGERS debuted at the Slamdance Film Festival, where it was the runner-up for the Audience Award. This debut was followed by screenings at the South Pole Film Festival, The USA Film Festival and The Newport Beach Film Festival, where it won Outstanding Achievement in Filmmaking: Documentary. RINGERS is widely available on DVD.
Recent Projects
Carlene recently designed and implemented the motion graphics and animation for BET Network's Access Granted. This half-hour show profiled R & B star Musiq Soulchild as he recorded his latest music video for the song "teachme." The piece was produced for Atlantic Records and edited by John Welch at Stormcrow Entertainment. Carlene created character animation design for the piece.
Carlene Directed a three camera shoot of Rami Kashou's L.A. Fashion Week show "A Concerto for Angele". This piece will be used for the designer for promotion of his newest line of red carpet and award-show ready gowns. In addition to directing the shoot, Carlene designed the motion graphics for the piece as well as designing Rami's logo, the show's invitations and program. Rami Kashou is based in Los Angeles with a studio in SIlver Lake. His clothes are worn by Jessica Alba, Tyra Banks, Paula Abdul and many other celebrities.
Carlene also designed and programmed Rami's Spring/Summer 2007 and Fall/Winter 2007 collection online look-books for his website and print. She's working on a new website for Rami which will be unveiled soon.
